At Thorizon, we’re a passionate and rapidly growing team of 45 in Amsterdam and Lyon, all working together to develop a new nuclear power solution. We design and create frontier technology for Molten Salt Reactors (MSR).

Your mission

We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to join our innovative and international team and support our project of innovative cartridge development.

Are you passionate about ensuring deliver projects? Do you get energized by innovation and transforming ideas into tangible solutions? Are you ok to navigate in a complex and changing environment? Do you appreciate to work with multidisciplinary and international environment?

You will be responsible to liaise with all engineering teams and operation teams to understand their technical needs and reach the suppliers to ensure the perfect match between the needs and Suppliers’ offers. You will be in charge of preparing and placing all Purchase Orders of your perimeter.

You will manage and prioritize several topics in parallel and ensure the proper follow-up of all the topics in collaboration with your technical counterparts.

In this role you will:

Analyse the Purchasing needs for Thorizon project including a close.
Support the development of Purchasing function within Thorizon
Active contribution to the purchasing strategy in conjunction with internal stakeholders and suppliers, from bid list selection – compliant with technical requirement – until the final delivery of Products
Liaise with Legal department and accounting and financial department for administrative tasks
Identify the risks and opportunities of the purchase, based on expected performance, market analysis and supplier panel.
Contribute to the improvement of the Purchasing and Negotiation Process:
Gather prices within the price database
Develop the actions to optimize the purchasing process
Plan and conduct the tendering process until the contracting, then carry out the transfer of the file.

About you:

You have a Master's degree in mechanical engineering with skills in negotiations
You have at least 2 years of experience in the nuclear, industrial, construction, aerospace or automotive field.
You are open and communicative, sharing your observations and expectations. Clear is kind.
You are a good communicator in English (working daily language), both spoken and written
You are a team player, and as such can build a team of teamplayers
You solve problems creatively and know when and how to involve other team members
You like working in an agile manner and are comfortable with the fast-moving pace of a technological scale-up
You are a hands-on self-starter who likes to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment that is growing fast
You have an intrinsic motivation to make an impact and want to contribute to a responsible energy supply
